American Cormo Sheep Association

Welcome to the American Cormo Sheep Association website!

The American Cormo Sheep Association is a non-profit 501(c) association of Cormo Sheep breeders.  ACSA has kept the official registration of Cormo Sheep in the US since 1976 with the purposes of:

  • Establishing a central organization within the United States to register, promote, preserve and educate concerning the breeding of cormo sheep.
  • Defining the distinguishing characteristics of the breed, and establishing specific minimum standards for registering individual animals

The cormo is a fine wool breed developed in Tasmania.  This breed is known for high quality wool, are easy keepers, lambing easily and ruggedly adaptable to different climates. We invite you to join us.  Any resident of the United States who owns or is interested in Cormo sheep may become a member of the ACSA by application and payment of an annual membership fee.
